I have been designing iconic women’s fashion and accessories for 30 years. My core tenet has always been to infuse intent into everything I create. Early in my career, I developed a reputation for designs that set the pace rather than follow it. This led many successful and influential fashion companies to seek me out. As one collection after another achieved enormous commercial success, I rose to the highest levels at the most iconic and well-known fashion brands. These were among the brightest years of my career.
But the path that seemed so clear actually led to a crossroad in my heart. Who was I doing this for? I was designing for everyone…but me.
I knew I had to reach inward to rediscover the inspiration that would propel me forward. In a single year, everything I knew shifted. A long-standing business partnership dissolved, I left behind the home I had lovingly built, a man I loved chose another path, and my health faltered. The life that once felt certain simply fell away. Everything I thought defined me disappeared.
Yet in that unraveling, something profound awakened. I realized I was more than what had happened to me. I was still here, standing in a world full of undiscovered possibilities. I knew I needed to create again, so I sought inspiration in the small things all around me.
To guide myself through this new chapter, I began leaving notes around my home…reminders of who I truly was beneath the grief. Messages of courage on the mirror, affirmations on the refrigerator, tiny truths tucked into corners where my eyes would find them just when I needed them most.
Those reminders transformed me. They shifted my patterns and opened my eyes to beauty again, the gentle kind that hides in everyday moments. A grateful heart became my compass, and I found myself living the words that inspired me: A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.
One day, while crafting jewelry with a friend’s daughter and seeing the delight in her eyes as she admired the small bracelet we had created, I witnessed the love and light that came from that simple gesture. From that moment of gratitude, Aura Devina was born.
Each piece is created from the belief that jewelry can be more than adornment. Every design is meant to remind you that you are not just wearing jewelry… you are wearing strength, courage, and the quiet power of becoming. The heart of this brand rests in the affirmation “I am.”
